As 2025 draws to a close, we want to sincerely thank you for being part of the St Vincent’s Foundation Queensland community. Your generosity and belief in our mission continue to make a real and tangible difference for patients, residents, families and care teams across our hospitals and aged care services.
Thanks to your support, 2025 delivered many meaningful outcomes. Twenty-eight staff members were awarded education scholarships, building skills, leadership, and confidence that directly enhance patient and resident care.
The event saw 112 players on the greens and over 120 prizes generously donated, reflecting the strong community and corporate support that makes this annual event so meaningful.

Your generosity also helped bring comfort, dignity, and joy to those in our care. Across St Vincent’s Care homes, supporters funded new dining spaces, Tovertafel dementia tables, vital observation machines, lifting hoists, and innovative technology such as Care Window video calls to help residents with dementia stay connected with their loved ones.

In our hospitals across Queensland, donor support funded essential clinical equipment, including recliner chairs, hospital beds, and cuddle beds for palliative care at St Vincent’s Private Hospital Brisbane.

At St Vincent’s Private Hospital Toowoomba,
a cuddle bed for end of life care was made possible through the generosity of the Belinda McGowan Foundation and the remarkable support of Mr Darryl Brooks.

Community fundraising also played an important role. The start of the year was the traditional Australian fundraising effort – a Bunnings Sausage Sizzle!

Later in the year, Pink Bowls Day at Club Chermside raised almost $6,000 to support women’s cancer care at St Vincent’s Private Hospital Northside.

We also proudly acknowledge our corporate partner Bidfood, whose sponsorship of two Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Trainees in Health is opening doors to meaningful careers in the health sector. Bidfood’s commitment reflects a shared belief in opportunity, inclusion, and investing in a stronger, more diverse health workforce for the future.

Looking ahead to 2026, there are many simple but meaningful ways you can continue to support our work — recycling cans and bottles and donating the proceeds, joining a local fun run, or taking part in a community event and choosing St Vincent’s Foundation Queensland as your charity.
Your business or school might like to help raise much-needed funds, or you may wish to host a morning tea or trivia night — we would love to hear from you. Every action, big or small, helps fund essential equipment, education, and services that strengthen our teams and enhance the care we provide.
With your support, we can continue to make a lasting difference together.
